Well, I know that Fantastar have one going, but if anyone is feeling like a scrounge on the run up to Christmas then i'll set my own up. Am doing a IT course at college so will be a decent test of my spreadsheet skills!

I'm unashamedly stealing Fantastars system, with a few small tweaks

A team consists of 18 players.
Only two can be selected from any team
1 goalie
4 British D men
3 Non-Brit D men
5 British forwards
4 Non-Brit forwards.
1 Enforcer, which shall have a different points system.

A brit is defined at per the EIHL rules, I believe hockeyDB give the payers nationalities for any borderline cases.

All Players will score:

1 point for every appearance.
3 points for every goal.
2 points for every assist.
1 point for every win.

A Goaltender will also score:

2 points for every shutout.
-1 point for every goal conceded.
4 points for every win.

Your specialist enforcer will score:

1 point for every fight
2 points for every 10 minute misconduct.
3 points for a game or match penalty.
He will also recieve the same points as a normal skater (goals, assists etc.)

As many as transfers as you like until the season officially starts (4th September). Any players who leave their clubs will be replaced by the clubs replacement.
In the week of January 1st to January 8th, each team will be allowed 3 transfers, to get rid of any bad underachievers!

Have set up my team, but could I PM it to you instead as I don't have email access from work.

Also, would it be a good idea to tweak the fight system a bit so an enforcer gets a point for dropping the gloves, and extra point or two for a win?

I was discussing the fight system with a friend, and as i'd only be taking the penalties, or fights, off ih-update & texts from friends at the games, a 'win' system can't really work, especially as friends at the game will normally be biased towards their particular fighter.

Fair point about the fight results. I was just thinking of a few extra points in the event of a clear win or knockdown, although with jersey pullers like McMorrow, a true knockdown could be disputed.

Like the idea of 15 points for a goalie goal too. Don't think I've ever seen one in the Elite League although I've seen Stevie Lyle shoot at an empty net a few times!

No worries, to be honest, I think my friends who will be sending me penalties and goals updates will say that Ryan Finnerty beat up McMorrow just to stick up for their club!
Ive only seen one, back in the early EIHL days when Sundberg hit a empty net goal in our barn Oh well, you never know!

Just in case anyone wants to get involved in this and keep track of their own team, I've knocked up a quick spreadsheet where you can enter your own team's stats and it will automatically calculate the points for you.

I've knocked it up in Openoffice, but it should work in any version of Excel.

Paganpanther, if you want to borrow any of the formulae for your master sheet, feel free.

Thanks a lot Ghost Dog, much appreciated.
I've just finished setting mine up, slightly different to that but I'm fairly sure both versions work just as well!
Will be posting updates on the leaderboard across the forums on a Tuesday or Wednesday, but anyone who wants to keep track of their own, many thanks to Ghost Dog for setting this up
