Giants Ben Lake suspended for 2 games , spearing , was a bad one on mcnulty of blasé.

In fairness if I’m Ben Lake I’m a bit angry about that one. I think you would take the two games but McNulty should have got one as well for the spear to the back of the knee. Although not severe it was pinpoint accurate and could have injured a knee ligament quite easily. Putting myself in Lake’s skates I’d have most definitely done the same.

I can see where you are coming from but it was still a boneheaded play from Lake which seems to suggest a high degree of stress in the Giants camp. You can almost see the red mist rising and the reaction was always going to get a ban.
