Devils Vs steelers - Preseason Double Header - 29th Aug 26 (H) 30th Aug 26 (A)

The first domestic test of the pre-season and its back to back games against the traffic cones of Sheffield. I believe these will be steelers first games of the season so we have a slight advantage in games already played but both teams will be looking to put down a marker ahead of the season proper.

Let's hope we don't come away with the usual injuries from these games. Really think we shouldn't be playing other EIHL teams until the season starts.

In the (excellent) podcast this week Franny said that Stlever is back on the ice training but he won’t be ready to play this weekend so there’s not really any point having him as backup.
He might make next weekend against Nottingham though.

Agree dont think this will be a non contact event, and end up like the bulldog 2nd non event, we gotta show them who's boss in our barn and set the tone for the season ahead, plus we gotta go into their rustbucket Sunday and put on a show , no one should bully us this coming season with the core we got that can look after themselves and players around them .

Now that the wimpy vikings have been driven from our shores, let’s get back to the good old hockey game against proper opposition. We don’t like them Steelers and they don’t like us which is exactly how it should be, in fairness the frogs put up a better challenge before being sent home hopping mad.
