On a brighter note caponi is back tonight, and yes yaemko out long term, so given that and long term could be 2 to 3 months, in that case are we allowed a injury replacement as cover ?
The power move in bring in Hunter Shinkaruk as injury cover as hasn’t got a team and unfinished business in Cardiff (unless has hung up skates!).

A fantastic result. Well done Devils....what a confidence booster. Very glad for #92 who seemed to be playing with greater confidence tonight and it paid off.
It was tense at times though....gifted the Giants' their first (short handed) goal by being caught out of position too deep. Game looked sewn up at 4-2, when our Guys appeared to have broken Whistle down. A fantastic 4 minute Devils' pk ruined right at the end with a beaut of a pp goal from the Giants.
Hoping the result wiped the arrogant smirk off Piccinich's face. He was strutting around the warm up like a teal win was on the cards.

Well played lads, I had us down to win 3-1, that’s 2 goals more than them but we won 5-3 that’s 2 goals more than them, so I was spot on.Theres only one thing better than beating Giants at home, that’s beating them away, we need a wicked display Sunday now please. Anyway 2 goals against the pretenders in 6 seconds was pretty neat thanks guys for a really good night, Sanford, McDonald, and Olichefski look on their way to being back.

Great win complete 6O by us should have been lit more convincing the Giants ride there luck.

Great to see thommo chuck helegesen into mix at end to rattle whistle I love that top coaching.
Completely agree. What a highlight that was. Seeing Thommo put Helgesen in the mix was brilliant. I can't think of too many other Devils coaches over the past five years who would have done that. That's a sign of Devils hockey. We would have put our first line out and let them get rag dolled for the closing minutes in previous years. I loved that from Thommo.

Got to say that was really entertaining first and foremost. I saw energy and desire. Nice to see MacDonald notch one so emphatically. We still looked solid defensively and defended well as a unit when Giants seemed to have relentless pressure at one point. Not sure if we practice powerplays but an hour or two a week wouldn't go a miss. Stoever won't be happy with his rebound from so far out on a weak shot but take nothing away from him, he looked very confident in net, even playing the puck well behind it, he seemed in full control.

Brandt is a concern. That injury came from nothing really. Just a normal tussle and so often they can be the most damaging. A strain or a pull that could take weeks. Let's hope not.

Entertainment and a win. Happy day.

Really enjoyable game! Played hard and played some great defence. Our passing stood out for me, some great accurate passes leading to great offence.

Great confidence boost for Macdonald and Sanford.

How great is Barrow?! He is absolutely everywhere on the ice.

Great win, belfast didn't look much tonight but we gave a few goals to them to keep them in it, and what is barrow been taking he's like a devil possessed this season, good to see forwards scoring for a change, let's hope they carry it on Sunday, caponi had a good game as well considering the injury he had few weeks back , all in all a great game and regulation win .

Very honest of Caponi to get straight up after his check from behind by Lake. If he’d have stayed down, it would have been a major penalty easy.
Earlier on, Caponi did a massive hit on Lake behind the net in the first period. He even braced for it and Caponi still took him off his feet. That was some contact.

Of the 5 Devils goals I saw the ENG lol. Visits to the facilities and bumping into old friends meant I didn't see the first 4....think I can claim an A for those? Just goes to show you that moving the NM side to side is the way.

Thought the boarding call on Whistle wasn't just generous but plain wrong. Straight through the numbers into the plexi, major checking from behind all day. And of course he pops straight out to score once his minor elapsed.

Giants were a shadow of a team compared to previous sides. Went in tonight thinking we would get turned over, but they weren't at the races....decent on the puck but not as dangerous as they usually are. Guess the next roster after Xmas will need to step up.

Whilst we performed well, I didn't think we were all that great going forward - we've been better this season. Which sounds an odd thing to say after putting 5 passed the Giants. Some moments of quality, yes, but mainly a solid performance with very few mistakes. For brand new lines they didn't look like people were on different wavelengths. It was a disciplined, grinding win - rather than flamboyant hockey. 2 points is 2 points.

At the back, really impressed. Oligny, superb - ridiculously soft cross-checking penalty called on him for their 3rd. An awful thing to say (in terms of tempting fate) but this D corps really do tick all the boxes - there's not a weakness or someone who stands out as someone we need to upgrade on. 3 new signings all are hits thus far.

Stoever did really well and plays the puck nicely. Surprised BB didn't get the start but Stoever didn't look out of place. Good win for him.

Oh, and Block 13 did really well tonight. Lead the arena and I'm sure the team felt the extra support. They get negative feedback sometimes so it's only right to give them credit when they make a difference.
