Loads saying about Crandall and wanting him back…I remember this forum many were calling for his head and saying he had to go. My point is, we don’t see what’s going on the majority of the time behind closed doors - obviously what we know helps us with our judgement but I guess I’m just saying how many of us here make a judgement without knowing the full picture and defend it vociferously.

Bringing back 1 player here or another player there won't fix the issues with this team.

As I've previously posted, we have a load of players who are well over 30. Going forward we need a younger team.

Great Devils performance for 50 minutes with only McCollum and the officials keeping the Giants in the game. Then two goals out of almost nothing got the Giants back in it and suddenly tiredness from Wednesday kicked in and the Devils were hanging on.

A ridiculous call on Martin in OT gave the Giants to win it but the Devils PK did brilliantly with McDonald and Olischefski winning it on penalties.

I‘M guessing Fournier will be out with concussion precautions for a couple of weeks. Pathetic officiating to give it only 2 minutes and no review. But then the officials were pathetic for most of the game. Again.

Giants deserved nothing from tonight’s game. Definitely a point stolen for them.

Oh, and Martin has still got it hasn’t he. Best player on the ice by a country mile.

Crandall in his second year was a shadow of himself. His first year however, was something very special. Unplayable at times. He suffered in his second year being part of arguably the weakest Devils team in a decade, aside from this one,

Joey Martin was the best player on the ice by a country mile.
Absolutley. He hit, he worked hard, he scored. He's outstanding. Daft penalty at the end, but you can forgive him that. Can't believe the ref called it (but it was a penalty) just not an overtime penalty if that makes sense. We shouldn't be relying on a player at the backend of their 30s to set the standard but he simply does it season after season. Just incredible.

As with players, never go back!

Enjoyable game tonight and one for the goalies. Both were red hot. Game to forget for Gourley but the first two periods and a bit of the third we played really well. When we started to revert to the dump and chase we just invited pressure. Some of our zone exits were clinical and brilliant tonight. Makes is so much easier to get a line change and retain possession which gives the D a break.

A crazy line change in OT nearly cost us with a 4 on 2 in Giants favour but Bowns was superb. Credit to Oli. Not much went his way tonight and he looked out of sorts but great to see him bury the winner.

Please bring Batch back if he's fit.

What a great win for the Devils, we should have won that in regulation time if it wasn’t for the incompetent reffing, since when has a checking to the head call not been reviewed.
I remember a game in Belfast where Barrow got a 'soft checking from behind penalty' and thrown out of the game. Nothing cynical about it. It wasn't even at high speed. They brought the screens out like at the Grand National and the rink was silent. The Giants guy was never hurt in a millions years but they milked it for all it was worth to get Barrow thrown out. The guy got up and skated off. Fournier takes a shocker to the head. If he goes down, and lies still the Giant player is thrown out of the game. Credit to Fourns for keeping the integrity of the game. That one should have been reviewed.

can't fault the devils commitment tonight , every player gave their all, and a marked improvement as of late, both teams in fact gave it their all, shame the stripes couldnt match the players efforts, always thought check to the head was a mandatory 5 plus game major, obviously not tonight..giants player gets 2 mins we lose fournier, could be out 2 to 3 weeks if its concussion . Anyone know what happened in block 13 as loads of security had to get their pretty rapid ?

Giants remaining fixtures. 6 of them. 5 at home! They are the masters of the schedule. Hard to them losing it. 2 games against Fife, Guildford, Mancherster then one home and away against Panthers to finish off.

Can someone please explain to me where the hell has this team been, because they haven’t been seen for awhile now. It’s a riddle I certainly can’t solve, what has changed in a few days, weeks of trash then a display like tonight. So is it on ice, off ice, or what, and what team do we get for the next few weeks. Answer on a postcard please.
