Well that was enjoyable to say the least.
Anyone what happened with Register.
And Richie took a pen a rare occurrence
Register seemed to stand up for Waller against Watson. Watson had a shocking shift. Waller turned him inside out in the Flames Zone then tried a little slash on him and then went for a big hit which Waller avoided so Register had a word and fair play dropped the gloves. A shift to forget for Watson.

Guildford player tried to destroy Waller against the boards by the bin, Waller fortunately got out of the way just and Register took offence to it, which ended in a fight which Register handed him his rump. Good to see him standing up for his team mate.

What an enjoyable game! When we play like that, we are difficult to beat in this league. Fair play to Guildford too, they gave it a good go but we were just unstoppable. Games v Flames are my favourite home games, they very rarely disappoint. Sanford gets the headlines and rightly so, but I thought Josh Batch was superb again tonight - he’s having a great season.

It was very entertaining! Can anyone clarify the current rules around fighting as they change so frequently I struggle to keep up. I thought if a player received two fighting penalties it meant an automatice game penalty. Is that not the case any more?

What a difference from the last two games. Passion, skill, speed and they to a man stood up for each other. Todd had a problem trying to call 9 penalties at the same time but so enjoyable to watch. Do that tomorrow and we stand a chance.

Also, Kozun had a belter of a game, and great to see Brandt get his first pro point

There’s some fight in this team. Literally and figuratively. Some great performances. Kouzan is doing so well. We seem to play so much better when Register and Crandall are cooking.
Cool heads needed now. We don’t want bans for tomorrow boys.

Made the trip up to Sheffield tonight so having to suffer the Webcast. Our cameraperson is easily the worst in the league. Cox is fighting and we’re watching Cougler being escorted to the box. In the second period Batch got into a bit of trouble but nothing happens, we watch Batch pick his gum shield up off the floor whilst Cougler is kicking off. It’s like they never seen a hockey game before. We missed most of Registers goal as per usual he/she was zoomed in too close.
Belfast’s camera work is soo much worse than what I saw tonight. You’re lucky if they are at the same end of the ice as the puck!!!

Not sure what player was in the bin twice for fighting , but yes 2 fights and off you go to the showers, unless its changed...as for the game, devils on course for 10 plus goals if it wasnt for their nettie, flames were turned inside out most of the game with our speed and passing, good to see Brandt have more ice time , had his best game i thought, great game, great crowd and plenty of action, onwards to sheffield now, gonna be hard as we all know but if we play like last night we are in with a chance, see Vallerand didnt play last night for steelers..didnt need him anyway sfter a 7...2 win..

Brandt was on the penalty kill which shows how much Skalde trusts him now. Fully deserving of that spot. Also another decent hit from him and delighted that he got his first point. Almost jammed in a goal too.

As great as that was we beat a team 20+ points behind us and tonight they did look 20 points worse than us (bit like Nottingham). Whilst we can only beat what’s in front of us it’ll be a great test tonight. There’s no reason why we can’t cause a few problems up there but if we start slow, we’ll be in deep water. We also HAVE to be physical. This team is on fire when they are physical. When we play like we think we’re the Brazil team of the 60/70s, we seem to come unstuck. When we take it up a notch our skill level is there for all to see as well as the physicality. Crandall and Register need to be huge again for us tonight.

Thought Batch had another belting game too - I seem to write that a lot.

Thanks for confirming. Watson for Flames was given two 5 minute fighting penalties but was not thrown out so just wondering why.

Great performance against a below average Flames team, that’s the performance we need tonight and Wednesday, fingers crossed.

Team looks feisty, skillfull and united. Was chatting in car on journey home and would be very exciting if we can retain majority/all of this squad going into next year. Shame about the blips last week but bumps happen and I still think we’re well placed for making a decent shot of the playoffs.

Great effort last night.
If you watch the play off the puck it was excellent , lots of movement and positioning, there seemed to be a Devils player in every gap in defence and in every open space in attack. Looked very comfortable.

Didn't go to the game last night and the one time I miss a game it seemed to have everything in it!
Hopefully take some points off sheffield tonight...
