Good signing for the Clan, he was always a pesky little so and so. Russell seems to be recruiting very well, I hope he can carry that on as I’d like to see a stronger Clan than what we saw last year.
Seems like a mix at Clan, top quality 1st line, good 2nd, then a mix of young and lower end. Think most of the budget going on a few players?

So many of Belfasts top guys have moved on. Losing Connolly and Sylvestre and signing Boxill means they have about 200% less offense thus far

I'm glad Armstrong bows out of our league on a low note of loss in the POFW final.

A player that appeared to play the game very cleanly but the refs would miss so much, he could turn the slightest nudge into a "pushed into Bowns".

Another real talent that we've seen in our league though and the kind of player you want on your team.

Regarding Sylvestre, clearly a player thats too talented for our league.

at 24 years old (23 last year...) he will make the AHL, and given his East coast production it's a shock he hasn't been there yet; but bouncing around between EIHL/EBEL - or even any of Mestis - DEL2 - Division 1 - Denmark - AlpsHL etc... is a waste of time, he needs a shot in a bigger better league if he's staying in Europe earning the bucks he deserves.

Got very frustrated on multiple occasions last year which for me was down to him simply being on a different wavelength to everyone else due to elite hockey IQ. - This spilled over onto the referee on more than one occasion!

I wonder why a lot of Belfast players aren't keen to hang around...?
I’d say the opposite to be fair.

Looking at Belfast last year, yes they won the challenge cup, but they finished 5th. If I was Keefer I’d have been looking to upgrade anywhere I could.

Averages 0.84 PPG in the EIHL but signed to play 4th line according to the steelers press release.

So the steelers team after having a huge rebuild are now up to 16 players. Can see them signing a couple of "Marquee" players towards the end of the off season
