Steelers going for hungry single college based hockey type players?

Thompson keeps mentioning ‘platform’ as if he’s selling Steelers as a quick ‘one stop’ jump to Europe

If that’s true and they do then it will be tough building long term won’t it?

I hope O’Connor finds somewhere else in a top European league - Swedish would be good - in preparation for next summer. Not sure any EIHL team can make space for him this late apart from Steelers - but if they’ve already done the deals bringing in top guys with the money released they might fid it difficult too?

Tough to build long term yes, but we will get guys buying in. They are essentially on trial to earn themselves a more lucrative contract abroad.
