Carruth suspended

#24
Good on Carruth! Standing up for himself and giving it back I say. If only everyone had the heart he has got then the team would be a lot stronger!

Bet he is not disappointed that he will miss the weekends games......saves him picking the puck out of our net a whole host of times on Friday and possibly a few more times on Sunday given that shit show of a supposed defence we currently have.

Enjoy your weekend off Mac....hopefully the sun will be out in lovely Cardiff Bay.

Makes him more a legend in my book. Bit of harmless fun whilst having insults thrown at him. Credit to him for not kicking off properly. I was expecting to see him jump into the crowd Cantona Style given the suspension.
I’m more offended by what Russell puts out on the ice than what Carruth just did.

Slightly concerned that some posters on here think it’s ok to mock a 13 year old girl for her appearance and would rather make up conspiracy nonsense than concede that it isn’t acceptable.

Sorry Finny but if someone was throwing profanites at me and giving me abuse I'd give it right back, the fact all Carruth did was point at his teeth set all this off shows it's a massive over reaction.

Mac is a professional athlete and he's an out standing goalie but he's still a human being with feelings are we really now drawing lines where it's acceptable to berate and throw profanites at someone so long as the person doing it doesn't get their feelings hurt? No sorry that shit isn't gonna work all that's doing is allowing people to target others without fear of repercussions.

Do you know what the 13 year old girl said to him?

If it was adults giving him abuse and he gave it back then fair enough. But if it's true that it was a 13 year old girl that he mocked then
a) why is he getting wound up by a 13 year old girl.
b) why out of all the adults abusing him does he pick on the 13 year old girl.

Why should a kid get a free pass to be abusive? Because they're a kid? So it's fine for kids to be abusive now?

On that night he reached his limit. He's clearly reacted in a way he wouldn’t normally.

Actions have consequences for the girl, for Mac and the club.

The club have acted. There will be a statement. He regrets his actions.

Just as "concerning" is that some posters (not necessarily on this forum) think it’s ok to swear and make abusive gestures towards Carruth just because the offending person is 13 yrs old, allegedly.
Any such action whether made by a 13 yr old or an adult may be considered as a Breach of the Peace or actions Likely to cause a Breach of the Peace.

If you or I were reported of such actions at a hockey game we would rightly expect repurcussions, whether that be ejection from the arena and or a ban from future attendance.

Speaking in general terms, in the times we live in there has been a general breakdown in society and anti-social behaviour has almost become the norm, not all 13yr olds are little angels!
