Stars Vs Devils - CC 1/4F - 8th Dec 21

Devils head north to the wilds of Dundee for the first of 3 games against them in a week. Both teams are looking to put disappointing league results against Sheffield behind them. This game is the first leg of the 1/4 finals.

4-1 loss to Devils then a 'Rejean Stringer' style come back in the second leg to see us through.

Given the financial benefit of a Devils semi final home game and the concession* takings from a sell-out final I'm in no doubt that management will have explained how important these games are after so many dead rubber qualification games.

* I say concession as I guess the EIHL gets all the ticket sales but IAW/Devils get a large chunk of bar & food sales - otherwise why bid to host it?.

These are the matches where you don’t mind a boring low scoring game. Unfortunately we seem to have taken that philosophy into every game! Just keep it tight and hopefully do the business back in Cardiff

Certainly more line shuffles, Lammon at centre between Cox and Sanford and DuPont on the third line with Waller and McNally, according to the line ups on the EIHL website.
