GB in Belfast

Last weekend we were told to take down our flags at the arena in Belfast. Nothing new there, but we weren't blocking anyone's view or obscuring any advertising boards.
The reason - it is illegal to display a national flag in Northern Ireland!! Also, there were no anthems.
How will they manage to host GB and five other countries in an international tournament with no anthems or flags?

I still think it's such a bad choice to host the national games in Belfast. They have a cracking facility at the SSE, but it's at the very least a plane ride away for the large majority of hockey fans in the UK. And interest in the national team is not great at the best of times...

I have discussed this dilemma with ex colleagues in Northern Ireland and they feel confident that there will not be a problem regarding flags and anthems at an event such as this one. Let's hope they are correct!
