Nobody has mentioned Fournier. I think he was out on the ice for 6 minutes straight in the second period. Thought he had a great game as usual.

Very happy to say that compared with last week our special teams were on point last night. PK especially with those 5on3s

First period we were rattled by their quick press and we never settled.

Bring on Graz, will be tough anyway but they’ll also be buoyed by the shootout win over Frölunda

The only negative was the scoreboard. A month since the start of pre-season and we still have the screen that faces the benches, with a large section blacked out so you can’t see any penalty information. It’s crap really.

A fantastic win for the Devils. Last week the pp and pk systems required a lot of work. In a tight game like this it was important to make those rare opportunities count. The Devils took those man advantages well. And two superbly defended 5 on 3 pks. Every player contributed but fine performances from Bownsey, Fournier and Riley.

Despite a small roster and lower player budget, the Devils demonstrated they can compete well. A ton of grit and self belief coupled with finishing chances and committing to systems shows that anything is possible.

Well done Boys and best of luck against Graz.

slight improvement by pope, but his passing needs looking at, lot went astray..

Really, Pope had a really good game last night, he took the body quite a few times and laid a massive hit. his passing was no worse than any other player. seems the guy cant do any right!!
