Playoff Format

I’ve just seen that the league have released the playoff format for this year and it’s back to the common sense seeding of the league positions without it being over complicated by conference winners.... 1st plays 8th etc.

Thought this is what they announced pre-season? The conference winners are automatically included in the 8 but it is their final league position that decides their seeding?

Pretty sure the Highest seed remaining plays the early game in order to get the longest break!

Aye - 1-8 in league make the playoffs - unless one or both of the conference winners end up outside top 8 - currently very unlikely. Seedings based on final league position - 1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5 - top seeded team decides on whether to play home or away first. After the 2 legs the four remaining teams are seeded 1-4 according to their league finish. So if seed 8 beat seed 1 they’d still be last seed in the finals i.e. 4. Hope that makes sense.
