Its time for REVENGE after that loss in the HOUSE OF RUST

With only one game this weekend the DEVILS can concentrate on taking TWO points off our arch rivals.

With a SELL OUT already guaranteed your choice is limited to the excellent webcast from Icetime TV or MNL's unique coverage. Better still enjoy the webcast and follow the game on MNL as Russky is bound to be more biased than John, Aled & Gareth.

Score predictions and comments always welcomed to matchnightlive@gmail.com.

For those of you that have managed to track down that elusive mobile signal (OJ will be looking for it on Saturday) why not let us know whats happening text 07527 625206

With Fitzgerald, Deveaux, Marquardt and possibly Ramsey playing on Saturday it could get quite feisty, especially as its the first game between the two sides in Cardiff this season. Hoping our lads don't back down and prove why we are the best in the league! Should be a good advert for UK Hockey on Saturday. I wonder if Simmsey will do the Q&A before the game?! That would be hilarious watching him get battered with questions from the Devils fans.

Our lads won't back down, Marquardt is big but not tough, Ramsey is a fart, Deveaux and Fitzgerald are tough cookies, but in Louis, Batchy, Strachan and Faryna if fit, we are more than a match for them. We need to play for 60 mins, come out banging from the get go, get our rhythm going, and play our game, not theirs and hopefully with the Red Army on board things will pan out fine.Steelers are a good team, just not as good as us.

Anyone know if any of the injured 4 are due back?

Steelers will be without Fretter obviously, and Ronnberg has just left. So leaves them with 5 D like us, but might as well be 4 if you count Davey Phillips ;)

Armstrong has really kicked off this year on the scoring front, so need to shut him down, he might not be as effective without Fretter by his side.

Steelers doing a very good job of undermining all the good work achieved by other clubs to showcase our league recently. Not a week goes by without at least one of their players on the disciplinary naughty list...and,of course, Fitzgerald usually being thrown out of the game.

However, they are still finding ways to win despite the circus. Devils owe this team big time after that embarrassing result in Sheffield a few weeks back.

Apart from closing down Armstrong (and other likely scorers) and constantly rattling Mustakovs , hope the Devils play smart and hard. Devils must take complete control of the game and leave everything on the ice in terms of effort, and stay totally focused on the win. The game is in OUR place now.

As fans we must definitely do our bit too...by showing the Steelers how much we detest them.

Tonight I watched one of the best teams in the league, lose to the best team in the league. Well played Devils, tonight you were clinical, tonight we had no weakness in our team, tonight we played for each other, and when we play like that, we are one hell of a team to beat. Tonight's score flattered Steelers, 4/1 or 5/2 would have been a more realistic score as we had a good 70% of that game. Anyway well played lads, a full house against the pretenders who went home with what they deserved, jack all.
HAPPY HOCKEY DAYS.

That was a performance to every player the intensity, passion and desire were on display.
If they perform like that win or lose I will be a happy devil.
And please when will refs other than Schmichel dish out misconduct penalties the way the Squeelers conduct themselves with the constant moaning and dissent is just plain embarrassing and pathetic

Not sure of the final SoG but at the end of the 2nd they'd out shot us 22-15 So Wannabe2 may be the score reflected the game well.

But those stats reflect Ben performing as ever and our clinical goal attacking and yes it was a typical Devils team effort and We did control the game for much of the time

A professional, clinical performance from Devils tonight. To a man, every player performed well tonight - a confident, team effort. Solid, rolling defence and defensive play with a crisp, organised set of pp systems. Think our Guys were actually having some fun out there whilst working very hard!

The result flattered the Steelers. At times the Devils showcased a masterclass in puck possession/recycling and relentless forechecking. Steelers' clear frustration and lack of discipline allowed Devils to capitalise on those extra man opportunities.

Sulli's pure genius intro videos with all the subtle and not-so-subtle Steelers' nuances were a divine treat to get the crowd even more fired. Really great, Paul!

For the Devils, they just need to carry on playing this way, methodically and quietly working their way through their schedule and not worrying about how the other teams are doing.

Sheffield Steelers: tick.....now onto the next game in hand ;-)

We were outshooting them 22-15.

3-2 doesn't really do the game justice. We were by far the better side, created the majority of the clear chances and really should have won by a couple of clear goals.

Thanks Finny, we were so much better than them tonight, one goal difference wasn't a true reflection of how the game went. We were so superior than them in very aspect.

Watching a game online is never as good as live but this was an excellent battle that I thoroughly enjoyed. The Devils came out flying and only eased off when there was a two goal margin. Sorry to sound like a broken record but Crowder was excellent again. Reddick did a great job again. It seems the players who had a shaky start are now firing on all cylinders and we are seeing the excellent team that Lord put together. Even if we had lost tonight I would still feel positive because the work ethic and teamwork has been great the last few weeks. If we win all games in hand we would be joint top of the league. This is starting to remind me of last year.

That was far more comfortable than the score line suggests, we could have won by 3 or 4 at least. For me, the Devils were pretty dominant tonight. Great 2 points. I think the Steelers are 8 wins, 5 losses in the league. Is Thommo under pressure?

Have to say a huge well done to Lordo in how the team are now playing but most of all in getting those special teams straightened out. The powerplay is now back to being a hugely effective part of the Devils game and massive in keeping teams honest as they are now being punished for undisciplined hockey. It's obvious an incredible amount of training and analysis has gone into it and it's very impressive both coaching and playing wise that the players are now converting. Well done guys.
