Devils start their CHL campaign this Thursday with a trip to the Vaillant Arena in Switzerland.
Hopefully we are going to be able to run MNL for this one but it is being shown on Premiere Sports and you can go watch it on a big screen surrounded by other fans and unreasonably priced drinks at Shooters Bar in town.

Al, Gaz and JD have done a very good CHL roundup which you can listen too here

So what time does this actually start?

Shooters article on devils website says 7pm faceoff
under fixtures on same website it says 7.45 faceoff

edit: looking at the davos website it says 7.45 as well so maybe just the shooters article is wrong

also found an article on their website talking about us, it's google translate so.....

IT MUST BE FROM A TO Z EVERYTHING RIGHT
"The Champions League is very important for us," says Arno Del Curto. In the interview, the coach of the HC Davos provides the reasons. He describes why there will be no stroll on Thursday against Cardiff's exasperator, and what needs to be done if his team wants to score points against Växjö on Saturday.

Arno Del Curto, what does the Champions League have for you?

Arno Del Curto: The Champions League is very important for us, although it affects our Spengler Cup. They are international games. In the group games we meet the geek Cardiff, but also Växjö and Liberec. Both are top teams. They come from Sweden and the Czech Republic, that is, from European ice hockey halls. To play against such teams, to compete with them, to learn and improve in such games - what is better in this world?

Are you oriented on these opponents, so that you can adjust your team optimally?

We play our game. We start the Champions League with the two home games against Cardiff and Växjö. We want to express the stamp. This means that the opponents should adapt themselves and adjust to us. When we meet the same teams abroad, we know how they behave.

However: How do you assess the Cardiff Devils, who will compete in Davos on Thursday evening?

In the Cardiff team, there are many players who have learned ice hockey in Canada. I suspect that they will play very well in the offensive third, especially at the beginning of the game - yes, with many scorers brutally dangerous. A question mark may be behind the temptation of Cardiff Devils. If we do well and we manage to determine the game, we have a good chance. But this opponent is certainly not bad. Those who qualify for the Champions League are among the best teams in Europe.

Good question. The websites that I have visited state 18.45 face off. Premier sports have it scheduled for 18.45 as well. This is our local time - GMT.
The Davos website would be correct at 19.45 (7.45 pm) as that is their local time which would be 1 hour ahead of us.

Yeah, your right we are currently on BST which is GMT+1, so a hours difference seems correct.

this is reinforced looking at their info for our home game:
3 September 2017, 18:00 Cardiff Devils - HC Davos (19:00 CEST)

Good luck to the lads tonight, huge test for our team against a team with a £8 million pound budget, one off game so who knows. David v Goliath contest for sure, all you can do is your best, hope both players and fans enjoy.

Betfair have a Devils win in regular time at 10:1 on their sportsbook (think bookies odds) but only 4.7:1 on their exchange (stockmarket supply/demand).

I think saying we have a one in ten chance of winning massively underestimates the guys so will be putting a few quid on.

Paddy Power are giving 94/1 for a Devils/Panthers double!

2-0 down, not too disappointing against a side like Davos, especially seeing as they were 5 on 3 and a PPG.

If only Pope had buried that chance at the end of the period....
