What do people think about signing Jake Morrissette as an assistant coach, and a spare import if injuries? Like Sheffield did with Darrell Hay a few years ago.

Would allow lord to play with Jake and Jamie on the bench.
Jake has been a great servant to our club and a superb player. This season he really has seemed to struggle in many games with the increase in speed and level the league has reached. Like Doucette he would still be a superb player on many teams rosters but as our level of play as a championship club/CHL club has greatly improved I don't think he will meet the new level especially after his latest injury.....

HOWEVER he is one of Lords closest friends and apparently superb in the dressing room and off ice. This makes for a superb option as an assistant coach and I doubt Lord would love no one else other than Jake to fill that role. Plus as a spare.

He deserves a shot if he isn't signed as one of the 14 imports as he's a Devil through and through

Dundee held a fans forum tonight, looks like they are up for sale, but are staying in league even if a new owner(s) are found.
It appears from the fan forum in Dundee tonight that the Stars are introducing cost-cutting measures to save money:
- suggestion they may start season without full compliment of imports
- recruiting players without family commitments in order to reduce flight and accomodation costs
- season tickets gone up in price...for a reduced on-ice product.

Fife rumoured to be making an announcement soon.

Doesn't sound great does it.
If the Stars ice a poorer team than normal and we still don't know what Fife are actually doing, then Braehead will walk the conference easier than people already expect them to, it's not as if Edinburgh will give them much competition.

Fife have announced last night they are playing in the Elite ... thats about it though

That's good news however worrying that several clubs are being sold..and/or cost cutting. The product greatly reduced for their fans, the disparity between top and lower teams getting wider.

Boychuk's account is automated. Folows over half a million people and continuously tweets links to a never heard of 'news website'.

Overseen by himself every so often, to tweet hockey related stuff but i'd expect that he's getting paid for someone to use his account to advertise.
That makes more sense!!

Looks like MKL have signed a couple of imports due to be announced.

Reading Simms's Twitter, is he hinting that a player from Cardiff could be going there?

He doesn't specify or hint from which Cardiff team it is....could be the Fire for all we know.
