Hello Devils fans! First off I'd just like to congratulate G and Batchy for signing with the club again for the 2013-2014 season. I couldn't imagine how tough it really is coaching and playing but G has been such a professional since my time playing for and against him in the Elite League. Year after year he continues to guide the Cardiff Devils to the top of the league and will no doubt have continued success with the club.

As for Josh Batch and his "Batch-Slapping" of opponents it is without question he is a guy the club needed to sign for the future. Batchy has really impressed me since joining the club! I remembered him as a defenceman last year and now he has turned into a power forward which isn't an easy transition, but he has done a great job in my opinion.

As for me, I have been setting into the team and city quite nicely. It took me a few weeks to get my sleeping habits down again but I'm finally feeling rested and ready to play every night. That was definitely helped by my roommate Max who has been great since my arrival. I still haven't mastered the art of driving a standard so he has helped me get around, as well as being my personal chef the night before a game. Max is quite handy in a kitchen and makes a fantastic spaghetti bolognese!

I have really enjoying playing for the Devils thus far, It's a great having such a strong defensive unit who blocks countless shots, and keeps a lot of shots to the outside which makes a goalies life easy. It's fun playing in tight games as a hockey player but also a much better feeling when your winning. I'm happy with the effort of the club, but as for myself and everyone in the room disappointed with the final result the past few weeks. Losing Faulks and Hilly hurt but we have a great group of guys who will battle every night and I know we will succeed down the stretch and in the playoffs.

So here's to a great finish to the season and a strong push for a playoff championship! See you fans at the BBT vs Belfast this weekend, and safe travels to all who are making the trip to support us the following weekend in Belfast.
