Guest Blog - Part 1

Right here goes my attempt at a blog. Not sure why Blighter chose me to do it, maybe he had asked a couple guys before me and I was down the pecking order or he thought I could do a good job. I think it is because I had a little dig at him and Faulks for being on twitter instead of working on schoolwork in Starbucks!

It’s been a hectic schedule over Christmas, playing quite a few games along the way. I think we played 8 games in 16 days. It was a disappointing result for us on Boxing Day but we had a great team performance in Coventry the next day. With very good support from my sponsors the ‘red army travel’, who have been great this year supporting us at some of our away games and I know the guys really appreciate that. I know the away games are becoming more and more popular for the supporters. I know they’re always looking for more and more fans to make the trips so get chatting to them about future away games.

As a team we are close to getting max back in our roster, which is no doubt going to be a huge boost to the team! When max has got his game going I think he is one of the best players in the league. Hopefully keeping him and the rest of the team fit and healthy and free of suspensions for the rest of the season will help give us a big shot at some silverware this season as we have a lot of top table clashes remaining to close the season out. I’ve been in and around the team for a number of years now and know how much everybody associated with the team wants to win something including myself. It would be huge!

Hope all the supporters, sponsors, staff, players and friends and family of the team had a great Christmas holidays and a good new years. We didn’t quite get the snow over the holidays but did get a lot of rain.

A huge shout out to Joe Myers who scored his first goal a couple weeks back (on himself). Tipping the puck in his goal from a long shot, but made up for it with a great shootout win I must add. I also want to use this platform to say that Phil Hill needs to work on his tennis skills this summer after 2 straight successful summers playing him.

Cheers, cheers.

Ben
