It is always easier to write these blogs after a successful weekend. Obviously this past weekend was a huge one for us. The 9 to 1 victory in Dundee is something we needed as a team. All year we’ve been in tight games and it was nice to go out there and have a fun game where everyone enjoyed a lot of success.

The game on Sunday against Belfast didn’t start out as great as Dundee but it sure ended well. Being down 3 to 0 going into the third period was obviously a tough spot to be in against the 1st place team. A lot of guys said things during the 2nd intermission and you could tell they were unhappy with how things were going on the ice.

I think we really showed what we are capable of as a team in that third period. A game like that is exciting for the fans but it is also huge for our team confidence. Showing the character to claw our way back against Belfast will go a long way to make guys believe we are capable of winning regardless of the situation. I really enjoy playing against Belfast because they are arguably the hardest team to play against. I like that our team was able to rise to the occasion and show that we can beat anyone.

After a big weekend we had our annual Ladies Night on Tuesday. I have never been to one before and did not know what to expect. It was a fun night and I hope that the female fans enjoyed a night dedicated to them.

Thank you to Stevie George for doing a great job hosting as well. For those of you that don’t know who I’m talking about, he is the Red Headed guy in the corner of the rink we shoot on twice. He’s single and enjoys long walks on the beach and according to Mac Faulkner he also likes to play cricket alone in his back yard. Also a special thanks to all the beautiful girlfriends on the team for not giving their guys too much of a hard time for attending the social event! There are a lot of lucky guys in our dressing room!
