Ben's Blog - Part 2

Hey everybody, guess Blighter and Faulks are still busy with their schoolwork. Haven’t seen them all week so I wouldn’t know though. Only messing, but hope they both did well in their exams this past week, and also to Batchy who had his test on Tuesday!

The past games last weekend were a tough couple with us always having close/tight games against hull so far this season and our penultimate trip up to Scotland in Edinburgh where teams have struggled to play this year. I think we were very unlucky on Saturday night not to get the win, but saying that we knew we needed to find the result from somewhere. Sunday we managed to get a good team performance together, and it looked like everybody enjoyed the game afterwards and hopefully gets us rolling on now coming to the 2nd half of the season. Got to thank the fans that have been travelling and supporting us once again up to Scotland and all the trips, really nice to see and do appreciate it.

We had a good week of practice in this week, looking on to this weekend’s games against Nottingham and fife. Playing in Nottingham is always pretty tough but is something we need to be up for to start clawing back these points, seeing that there are some big games ahead of us this year. It brings up an exciting prospect for us.

Another thing I should mention is that with this week’s news of the NHL starting back up I would like to say thanks to Biz (Paul Bissonnette) for his time with us this year and on behalf of the players and coaches we wish him luck for the rest of the year and in the future! I know myself for one; I will be watching more Phoenix games than I had in the past. I do think the lockout was bad for the sport and some of the best players in the world not being able to play., But hopefully can look at forgetting about that now the games will be going ahead.

Hilly took my tennis comment last week to heart so won’t go after him this week. However, there are other bad racket players on the team like Luke Piggott at squash that he would be evenly matched playing against, but I won’t say much more than that on the subject.
Cheers, cheers

Ben
